Post-race endoscopy detected a degree of internal exercise‑induced pulmonary haemorrhage that may have affected the horse's racing performance. Huntly Castle Eased approaching the finishing line when racing in restricted room.

Race 3 PUNTERS.COM.AU LIVING LEGENDS PLATE - 1000 metres:

I Am Immortal Tongue tie unable to be fitted pre-race. As a result, Stewards permitted the colt to race without the tongue tie. Got its head up and raced keenly through the middle stages. Raced three wide without cover.

Lesage Bounded in the air as the start was effected and as a result lost ground. Raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. Rider Damian Lane reported that his mount raced ungenerously. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Meteorite Slow to begin. Rider Craig Williams explained that he was instructed to ride the colt quietly in the early stages from the wide barrier due to the good speed drawn inside and in an attempt to get the colt to settle. Co‑trainer Calvin McEvoy confirmed the instructions.

Cardiff Held up over the concluding stages and went to the line not being fully tested.

Race 5 LADBROKES HOW NOW STAKES - 1200 metres:

Aristia After being fractious in the barrier underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to run. Held up from the 400m unable to obtain clear running until shifting out passing the 150m.

Embrace Me (NZ) Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground. Held up from the 400m then raced in restricted room approaching and passing the 200m before gaining clear running approaching the 100m.

Pippie Performed below market expectations. Eased down in the straight. Rider Ben Melham reported that the mare felt amiss in front rounding the home turn. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. A swab sample was taken for analysis. Angelic Ruler Held up from the 400m before gaining clear running passing the 150m. Had to be steadied passing the 300m to avoid the heels of Dawn Dawn (J. Winks) which shifted in to avoid Pippie which was weakening. Rider James Winks was notified to exercise more care.

Everyday Lady Rider Michael Walker reported that his mount felt amiss in front. A post‑race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg. A veterinary certificate is required prior to racing again.

Bella Martini In the straight laid in.

Race 6 EAST MALVERN BENDIGO BANK MRC FOUNDATION CUP - 2000 metres:

Super Titus (GB) After getting its off hind leg up in the barrier underwent a veterinary examination and was passed fit to run. Had to be eased passing the 300m between So You Win and Sikandarabad (IRE).

Madison County (NZ) Held up from the 400m before gaining clear running passing the 150m.

Deprive Steadied passing the 600m to avoid the heels of Amphitrite which shifted out slightly. Rider Rachel King reported that the intentions were to ride Deprive back in the field from the wide barrier in an attempt to find cover and a run through the field from the 600m. She explained that passing the 500m Amphitrite failed to take her into the race as she had anticipated and was therefore obliged to race wide rounding the home turn and when doing so was taken wider on the track than desired. She added that the gelding found the line in the straight but in her view felt a little awkward around the Caulfield circuit.

Amphitrite Rider Craig Williams could offer no explanation for the performance. A post‑race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the stable.

Begood Toya Mother Rider Declan Bates was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR131(c) for his celebratory gesture prior to the winning post.
