Classique Legend under Kerrin McEvoy came out behind the Godolphin pair of Home Of The Brave (IRE) with Glyn Schofield and Soothing with Rachel King going across the High Street side before McEvoy allowed Classique Legend to come up passing the 400m. Classique Legend took over the running on the outside and at the 100m McEvoy again extended for the pair to stride away.
Home Of The Brave (Starspangledbanner) was second with a long neck to Soothing (Lonhro).
The overall time was 58.49.
Classique Legend was held back from a trial earlier in August after a nasal discharge with the stable and connections 'erring on the side of caution'. He then trialled behind Sunlight over 1000m at Randwick on August 27th being well held by McEvoy to finish 2 1/4L in second.
